The Gift of Prison Ministry with Chaplain McClain

Lady C has a powerful conversation with Chaplain Audrey McClain, who passionately supports incarcerated individuals, their children and families. Serving as a Chaplain, she strives to facilitate their reintegration into society. As a chaplain she is focused on fostering marginalized individuals' spiritual growth.
Originating from Macon, Georgia, she achieved a Master of Divinity from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio and is presently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at United Theological Seminary.
Chaplain McClain is an influential mentor and devoted volunteer within her community.  As a devoted mother of two daughters and a son, she shares her life with her supportive husband, Clarence McClain.  Lastly, Chaplain McClain is affiliated with the Wesley Church of Hope United Methodist Church, where she serves under the guidance of Pastor Richard A. Dunbar.

Reverend, Dr. Sylvia Lorraine McLeod-Smith joins Lady C for a transparent conversation on loss & grief. Dr. McLeod-Smith was born in Brooklyn N.Y and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She had one son (Tony) who is deceased. Dr. McLeod-Smith loves and enjoys her family. She serves as an Associate Minister for Love Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Wesley Greenfield Jr. & First Lady Ruth Greenfield.Dr. McLeod-Smith is a graduate of United Theological Seminary, with her Doctor of Ministry.  She currently serves as a Board-Certified Health Care Chaplain and a Certified Grief Informed Professional. Her mission is “Serving 2 Impact” by providing God’s Love, Compassion and Care to those in need.

Elder Dedra Smith joins Lady C for a powerful conversation on the burdens of black women with the mental health syndrome known as the Superwoman Schema!
Elder Dedra Smith; her goal is to assist church leadership to be healthier mentally and spiritually by using a holistic approach through teaching and coaching. She is a Licensed Social Worker and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor and has been practicing in the state of Ohio for over 25 years. 
Currently, she is a Doctoral student at Northcentral University, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her doctoral studies focus on Creating Trauma-Informed Ministries in the African American Church through support and education to Pastors and Church Leadership.  Elder Smith is the owner of D.L. Smith Consultants LLC.

Gregory Watkins and the Praise & Worship Chorale

The Maestro, Gregory J. Watkins joins Lady C for a conversation on his life, journey, ministry and what has happened to the Church Choir!
He is a native of Columbus, OH and a songwriter and director.  His musical journey began at age 10 when he started playing organ for the children’s choir in his local church. A self-taught musician raised in the church, as a child, had a great appreciation for gospel music and an even greater love and appreciation for choirs. 
In 2017 Greg took a leap of faith and founded Gregory J Watkins and The Worship & Praise Chorale, a community choir comprised of 45+ singers from all over the state of Ohio, bridging the gap in denomination, age, and all walks of life. Greg and The Chorale was the 2018 Kingdom Image Awards recipient for Large Choir of the Year.
